My father showed me how it’s done by scoring a hole-in-one on a hole I designed. On November 28, 2006 my dad, ‘Fluid’ Floyd, made a hole-in-one with a seven-iron on the reputed tough twelfth hole at North Augusta Country Club. This is a new hole I designed as part of the renovation. I’m thrilled. Number 12 is extremely difficult – over water with a deep creek on the left side of the green. The pin was in its toughest position too. At age 76 my dad still has game to show me up.” – Bill Boswell.

The American Society of Golf Course Architects, ASGCA, is meeting in Atlanta, April 27 - May 2, 2007.
